This one is for all you sake-curious out there. Stand up, don’t be shy! A cup sake (kappuzake or one-cup sake) is the best way to give it a try, and since it's pretty commonplace in Japan, it's also very authentic. Tenmei is a brewery in Fukushima Prefecture, on the island's eastern side. The area’s main source of revenue is rice production, so a pretty handy place to make sake. Using four different types of local rice, this Jumai style is very easy on the palate. Honeydew and mint flavors with mochi are clean and fresh. This is one you can try cold or warm.
