Talley Vineyards' story began in 1948 when Oliver Talley began growing specialty vegetables in the Arroyo Desert. It wasn't until the 80's when Oliver's son decided to plant wine grapes on a small hillside and Talley Vineyards was born. Talley is located in the San Luis Obispo Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA) which is recognized as the coolest AVA in the state of California due to its direct proximity to the cold Pacific Ocean. The cool climate of the area, coupled with calcareous clay and shaly loam soils, makes it ideally suited to grow Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Bright citrus, green apple, and white peach aromas, complemented by hints of saline minerality and toasted almond. Crisp acidity balances the creamy texture.
