It yields a leanness defined by subtle white wildflowers, green melon, wet stones, and a distinctive flinty, savory minerality. Critics frequently note unique, complex undertones reminiscent of cheese rind or rustic herbs.
The Eyrie Vineyards is legendary for its history; founded in 1965 by David and Diana Lett, they were the first to plant Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris in the region. Today, winemaker Jason Lett continues that legacy, crafting a tiny amount of this obscure, traditional Alpine grape alongside their famous Pinot varieties.
Eyrie’s Chasselas Doré is sourced exclusively from just 12 rows of old, own-rooted, ungrafted vines planted in their organically farmed, regenerative no-till Sisters Vineyard.
