They posses a richness and complexity that transcends terroir and attests to the true genius of the winemaker. The late Didier was respected for his fanatical attention to detail in the vineyards and in the winemaking. His son, Benjamin keeps this the reputation very much alive and the wines are as good as ever.
Made organically and biodynamically--wine made from grapes grown organically using natural composting techniques and special preparations of herbal sprays while following the astronomical calendar.
Silex is a type of sedimentary soil that is rich in flint, created by the erosion of limestone over milennia. The remaining substrate is shallow, well-drained, and very strongly or strongly acidic. It also makes the wines made from grapes grown there especially ageable! Wines are notable for a slightly smokey aroma alongside more typical citrus and herbal notes.
