Liatiko is one of Crete’s noblest indigenous red grapes and has been historically used for sun-dried sweet wines, but increasingly explored for dry table reds. Aged for 12 months in large, used French barrels. Reminiscent of a Cabernet Franc and great decanted with food. Surprising depth and intrigue on this one. A chalk like initial hit breaks into cocoa and subtle cherry flavors with an overall smooth mouthfeel.
