In 1956, Daniel Taillet planted his first Meunier vines on the 'Le Bois de Binson' vineyard around Montigny, in the heart of the Marne Valley. Today his son Eric, who took over Maison Taillet in 1995, farms this excellent lieu-dit. Eric Taillet is a great lover of Meunier, the grape that does well in the Marne Valley. More than 80% of his 5.5 hectares of vineyards around Baslieux-sous-Châtillon are planted with Meunier.
This champagne was made from two old parcels of meunier from Baslieux-sous-Chatillon and matured for at least 36 months in our cellars.
