Château Pesquié has been under the stewardship of the Chaudière family since the early 1970s, right around the time that the Ventoux AOC was established. From their early inception the family has been focused on environmentally friendly practices and quickly became a leader of winemaking and farming in the region. Today the family’s third generation, brothers Alexandre and Frédéric, are leading the winery.
The Provencal word "pesquié" is used to describe an enclosed body of water and is related to the vitality of the element in the dry climates of Provence. This rosé comes from 10 to 30 year old vines, all grown biodynamically. It’s fresh and energetic, very typical for this region in South-East France. The nose is fresh with wild strawberries and yellow citrus. These flavors carry over onto the palate with notes of gooseberry, raspberry, and soft florals.
