Located in a small unique region that sits in both Tuscany and Liguria, the wines of Terenzuola are a blend of Mediterranean and mountain influences. The Giuliani family started the winery in the 1930s after returning to Italy from the United States where they had lived for a few generations. They used the money they’d saved to purchase 3 hectares of land in Lunigiana. Today, Ivan Giuliani, with his friend and fellow vigneron Marco Nicolini, leads the family estate, which now encompasses more than 18 hectares. The winery's focus is on Vermentino and the rare Vermentino Nero (which may be related to Canaiolo).
This wine is spicy, with notes of red and black fruits. The palate is light to medium bodied with silky tannins and a long finish showing notes of cracked black pepper.
