Mark Neal has been tending to organic vineyards for over 54 years. In 1966, he joined his parents on their Napa Valley farm as a farmer. His passion for the land and small-batch wines was instilled in him at an early age.
In 1998 he built Neal Family Vineyards, today, he runs the winery with his children, handcrafting complex wines from their biodynamic and certified organic vineyards in Howell Mountain and Rutherford. It is Mark's minimal intervention approach that allows the terroir and these incredible wines to speak for themselves.
The 2023 Rutherford Dust Vineyard Vermentino is fresh and playful. Aged in a blend of new and neutral French oak, this wine is ever vibrant in the glass with fresh herbal notes, lemon flowers, bay leaf, lychee, and tangerine rind. Juicy and rocky with a clean, rich finish.
