The Mary Taylor "Di Brescia" is a classic, place-focused sparkling wine imported by Mary Taylor, a visionary whose mission is to make European regional appellations accessible. While many commercial Proseccos can taste mass-produced, this exceptional bottling is sourced from a historic, female-owned estate run by two sisters and their children in Montecchio Maggiore, located near Vicenza in Italy’s Veneto region.
Crafted from 100% Glera grapes grown on 17 acres of 20-year-old vines, this wine beautifully reflects its unique terroir of limestone and volcanic rock. It is produced using the classic Charmat method, which preserves the grape's vibrant fruit aromas by undergoing secondary fermentation in pressurized stainless steel tanks.
In the glass, it pours a pale lemon color, delivering clean aromas of crisp green apple, ripe pear, melon, and citrus, wrapped in a soft, floral bouquet. Although labeled as a Brut, its residual sugar leans toward the traditional, slightly rounder "Extra Dry" style. This creates a remarkably creamy mouthfeel balanced by a persistent, fine fizz.
