The sprawling 500 acre estate of Left Coast is a testament to the winery’s commitment to biodiversity. Only about 160 acres are planted to vineyards, the rest of the land is left wild and is a haven for towering oak forests. This family owned and operated winery was founded in 2003 and has strived since its inception to honor the land on which it is established. The vineyards are LIVE and Salmon Safe certified, and the winery was one of the original six producers to be third-party verified in the Carbon Neutral Challenge, now part of LIVE’s carbon reduction program.
In 2011 Left Coast Estate released the first vintage of their White Pinot Noir. This unique white wine is made from all estate Pinot Noir grapes. It remains a standard of this distinctive Oregonian style.
This very pale gold wine expresses aromas of honeysuckle, ripe pear, and freshly baked shortbread. The palate is round and full bodied with notes of pineapple and dried pineapple that lead to a dry and mineral finish.
