Cavallotto is one of the most historic and respected estates in Barolo, located in the Bricco Boschis cru of Castiglione Falletto. The Cavallotto family has owned the property for generations and has built a reputation for deeply traditional, age-worthy wines rooted in vineyard identity. While the estate is best known for Barolo, this Langhe Nebbiolo offers a more approachable view into the same world. The wine is made entirely from Nebbiolo, often sourced from younger vines within the family’s holdings. Nebbiolo is one of Italy’s most noble grapes, known for its floral aromatics, high acidity, firm tannins, and ability to express place with remarkable precision. Cavallotto vinifies this wine with native yeasts and ages it in large Slavonian oak casks, preserving structure while allowing the fruit and floral notes to remain open.
