Bodega del Fin del Mundo, meaning “Winery at the End of the World,” is one of the pioneering estates responsible for putting Patagonia on the global wine map. Founded in 1999 in Argentina’s Neuquén province, the winery recognized the immense potential of this remote southern region long before it became widely known among wine lovers. Situated at nearly 39° south latitude, the vineyards experience some of the most extreme growing conditions in Argentina, with abundant sunshine, low rainfall, and strong Patagonian winds that naturally reduce disease pressure and promote healthy fruit.
The winery's vineyards are planted in the upper Río Negro Valley, where ancient alluvial soils and significant day-to-night temperature swings help grapes retain acidity while achieving full ripeness. These conditions produce wines with remarkable balance, concentration, and freshness. Postales ("Postcards") was created as a tribute to Patagonia's dramatic landscapes and adventurous spirit, offering approachable wines that still reflect the character of the region.
