Bodegas Barreda works from their traditional family winery in the town of Corral de Almaguer, located in the province of Toledo in central Spain. The family archives show that they were making wine probably as early as the 18th century, but the actual winery was built in 1945 by Don Manuel de la Barreda. His son Juan introduced the drip irrigation system in the vineyards and started the bottling of wines under the brand Torre de Barreda. The third generation, Juan Manuel, faces the challenge of introducing the wines into international markets.
“A monophonic or monoaural signal is one recorded in a single channel. If you listen the recording with two speakers or headphones you listen exactly the same through the left and through the right” Here we make an analogy with the musical concept: (1 channel = 1 grape variety = monovarietal).
