Partners in life and wine, New Zealand winemaker Angela Osborn and her husband Jason Osborne moved from England (his home country) to the sunny land of Santa Barbara County. There, the two met local winemaker Manuel Cuevas. The three quickly became fast friends, bonding over their love of sunshine, astrology, and of course, wine. Inspired by their Kiwi/Cornish/Mexican-American roots, Land of Saints explores finding and expressing a sense of place.
Land of Saints focuses on fruit from Santa Barbara County, crafting approachable, transparent wines that highlight the region’s maritime influence and varied soils. The wines emphasize balance and drinkability, with modest alcohols, fresh acidity, and minimal intervention in the cellar. Their bottlings explore Rhône and Bordeaux varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and blends like their well-known GSM, sourced from multiple sustainably farmed sites across the county.
