It all originated from the great vision and passion of Ferdinando Bergaglio and his son Roberto, who realised the wine-making potential of their land. After a lifetime spent working at a historic local company, in 1976, Ferdinando, his son and new daughter-in-law, decided to undertake a new adventure, by starting a family business, La Chiara.
They played a key part in the birth and success of Gavi. Today, the estate extends over a vast area, all of it in the municipality of Gavi, with 28 hectares occupied by vineyards cultivated with pride in their long-standing farming traditions.
The Black Label is a single vineyard expression of Cortese with 10 months of ageing. Fuller bodies and more complex than their Green Label blend. Showing yellow fruits, white peach and cherry with a little something tropical.
