Although Stéphane Moreau passed in 2016, his wife Virginie and assistant winemaker continue to honor Stéphane's winemaking style and technique. Stéphane, who was influenced by Vincent Dauvissat, produced bright, mineral driven, highly distictive style white Burgundies. A legend in his own right. The wines are made without intervention, using indigenous yeast, and are biodynamic and organic. Moreau-Naudet wines have tension, ripeness, vibrancy, and salinity - a true Kimmeridgean expression
This old-vine cuvée from ‘Pargues’ comes from its eponymous single-vineyard site, which is located between the prestigious crus of Vaillons and Montmains. Fruit comes from 40 to 50-year-old vines and is vinified in a combination of steel and neutral wood (30%). Zesty notes of lemon zest, crushed rocks, and chalky white flowers dominate the wine’s refreshing and thirst-quenching palate.
