The 2022 Bryn Mawr Vineyards Willamette Valley Chardonnay is crafted to highlight the elegance and vibrancy of Oregon’s cool-climate fruit. Winemaker Rachel Rose describes the 2022 growing season as a rollercoaster, beginning with a severe early spring frost that threatened the region's crops. However, the season recovered with ample rain and concluded with one of the longest growing windows in a decade, featuring 80 days of sunshine and rain-free conditions through October.
This wine appears light straw yellow in the glass and features a bright, airy aromatic profile. According to technical notes from the winery, the nose offers notes of fresh pear and lemon verbena accented by a hint of fresh ginger and nutmeg spice. On the palate, the wine is characterized as light and crisp, leading into a surprisingly savory finish.
