We’re big fans of low alcohol wine, but wines under 12% tend to get lost on us as tasting like citric-acrid water and lemon juice. Not the case here, its 9.5% alcohol has a delicate texture from a natural malolactic fermentation, a wonderfully inviting nose of dried herbs and dried flowers. It's a joyous little thing. And, of course, it fits into the Seckinger style of rakish Pflaz wines grown on mostly red sandstone soils (buntsandstein): bone dry, hazy and savoury.
