Michael Lavelle Wines is a Black-owned wine label founded by Howard University alum Aaron "Michael" Coad and Terrence "Lavelle" Low with their partners, Sommelier Devin Kennedy and Brandon Crump. Recognized as the youngest Black-owned wine company owners, they got their start with a passionate curiosity about wine with a focus on marketing to millenials (young winemakers, it makes sense!) and minority audiences. On the palate the Iris Rose has morello cherries, fresh raspberries and white flowers, that finishes dry and with plenty of zip. Perfect with BBQ dishes, grilled fish, pastas with white sauce and summer salads.
