Les Athlètes du Vin is a negociant (meaning they source their grapes) project focused on wines from the Loire Valley. The idea came from a group of French winemakers who called themselves Vini Be Good who decided to work together to distribute their wines across France. The wines are made with grapes grown from members of Vini Be Good or purchased from friends and neighbors in the Loire Valley. Their labels are drawings made by French artist, illustrator and cartoonist Michel Tolmer who just so happens to be the unofficial lead artist of the French natural wine movement!
This intense and complex wine shows aromas of ripe red fruits, which carry over to a supple and round mouthfeel on the palate, marked by soft, approachable tannins.
