Vila Santa Branco is produced from some of Ramos’ first vineyards in the Alentejo region. Vila Santa was the first wine born from João Portugal Ramos' personal project and reflects his passion for Estremoz and for all the historical heritage of this city. The name (“Holly Village”) refers to the famous Miracle of the Roses led by Queen Elizabeth.
The specific region and indigenous variety of the grape determines which methods Ramos employs for each wine. For the Vila Santa Branco, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. For all his wines, he employs advanced quality-control systems that have set the standard in Portugal.
This wine is young and playful. It has a pale color in the glass and notes of green apple, lemon, and lime zest. Bright minerality and good acidity combine to create a pleasing texture.
