2021 Luigi Giordano Buschet Barbera, Piedmont Italy
Regular price $21.00
Unit price per
100% Barbera
Brilliant ruby with hints of purple anda bouquet boasting purple plum, red currant, and a touch of blackberry. Dry and medium-bodied, soft tannins combine with brilliant acidity for a delightfully smooth finish.
Grown in a subzone known as Buschet, meaning “little woods,” located inside the Cars vineyard within the village of Barbaresco. Owing to lower elevations and multiple exposures, this subzone has long been prized for the quality of its Barbera.
This winery remains a spirited family effort, driven by the shared vision of Luigi himself, his daughter Laura, and his grandson Matteo. Together, they produce timeless wines from vineyards planted in some of Barbaresco’s most prestigious crus, including Asili and Montestefano. Another Barbaresco bottling from the cru of Cavanna showcases the winery’s elegant, hands-off style of winemaking and represents the only single-vineyard bottling of its kind.
