Bodegas Fin Del Mundo is a pioneering winery located in San Patricio del Chañar, a sub-region of Neuquén province in Argentina's southern Patagonia, a region known for its unique, cool-climate viticulture. The winery, whose name translates to "End of the World," was established in 1999 as the first large-scale project in this remote area, transforming a desert landscape into productive vineyards. Its extensive vineyards, spanning around 870 hectares, benefit from a unique terroir characterized by strong winds, abundant sunshine, and a significant diurnal temperature range, conditions that stress the grapes to produce wines with exceptional color, acidity, and concentrated flavors.
The Pinot Reserve offers an intense ruby red color and a complex aroma profile dominated by notes of cherries and raspberries, complemented by subtle hints of smoke, vanilla, and spices from its 12 months of aging in French and American oak barrels. On the palate, it is described as a velvety, fruity, and elegant wine, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, lingering finish that leaves an impression of ripe red fruit and a touch of spice.
