Nestled along the border of the Rhone Valley lies the region of Ardeche, and within it is Saint Peray; Domaine Chaboud was founded in 1798 and quickly became the standard in sparkling wine making. Now, with its sixth generation of leadership, Stéphan has partnered with oenologist Charlène Cellier, creating the name update and some really tasty wines.
Made from round and lovely Marsanne, the aromatics are gentle and fruity, while the palate offers stonefruit, herbal undertones, and a long but clean finish. Suggested for fans of Chenin Blanc, those trying to break out of their Sancerre rut, and people saving for their next tattoo.
