Rauzan-Ségla’s legacy in the Medoc spans over three and a half centuries. The estate’s origins trace back to 1661 when Pierre de Rauzan purchased the distinguished Gassies estate, establishing the foundation for what would become the Rauzan-Ségla cru. He acquiring the initial vineyards surrounding the property, kickstarting a lasting heritage.
Matured in 65% new and 35% one-year-old barrels for 18 months. This wine is full-bodied and intensely concentrated, displaying a deep ruby red color. It unfolds with remarkable elegance and refined character. The fruit is ripe yet fresh with blueberry and blackberry, cassis and leafy herbs mingling with a hint of licorice and tobacco. Good length and velvety finesse.
