Höpler is an Austrian family-owned winery located southeast of Vienna in Burgenland. Their 113ac/46ha of vineyards lie in the Leithaberg Hills on the shores of Lake Neusiedl. This unique location enables them to produce a wide range of wines: 55% white wine, 40% red and 5% dessert wine.Their vineyards are on some of the most prized and oldest sites in Burgenland: Kirchberg, Jungkirchberg, Schanz, Hirschäcker, Altvierholzer and Rosenberg. The Pannonian climate bestows the area with the highest amount of sunshine in Central Europe and the highest average temperature in Austria.
Höpler described his pinot as an Old World wine made in a modern style. Aromas of oranges, dark red fruit, herbs and tobacco leaves. The palate is silky, aromatic with a long finish. This is an elegant, tantalizing classic you can drink while getting lost in a good book.
