Bethel Heights’ origins are a classic Willamette tale of four friends falling in love with Oregon wine country in the 1970’s, moving the families, planting some vines and never looking back. What makes them unique is that two of the friends were brothers, so it was a true family affair, raising their kids to eventually take over operations. Along with making a name for the winery, they cemented themselves as early pioneers of biodynamic production, sustainability, and diversity in farming and operations.
This zippy little number is barrel-fermented and aged in really old oak, which gives it a gorgeous texture and rich body, almost like a nectar full of apricot, soft florals and a refreshing but not too sharp finish. Chicken, seafood, and afternoon gossip exchanges are the perfect pairings here.
