Crafted by the most experienced winemaker in Washington State, Rob Griffin, the 2021 Barnard Griffin Syrah Port is a decadent, small-lot dessert wine that captures the intense concentration of a uniquely warm growing season. This vintage is built on a foundation of Syrah from the Desert Aire Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope, which is known for some of the most expressive fruit in the region. Fortified with unaged grape brandy and aged for over 18 months in European oak.
On the palate, this vibrant Port unfolds with layers of plum, raspberry, and dark chocolate-covered cherries, accented by hints of orange zest, brown sugar, and baking spices.
