A side label of the well known Zuccardi Winery out of Uco Valley, La Vaquita (meaning 'the little cow') is a delightful blend of co-fermented Malbec and Torrontés. Made in a style when early winemakers in the region were trying to stretch a harvest, a splash of white grapes were added to the red, which results in amazing aromatics and a zippy palate that's best served with a chill. Bodega Santa Julia is certified organic and adds no sulfur.
A ripe and lush nose of ripe, red fruit with a touch of candied strawberry and red florals, in the glass you'll find a fleshy wine, rich with cherries and plush tannins that sneakily add a hint of structure.
