Kiona Vineyards and Winery is a pioneering, family-owned operation that played a foundational role in establishing Washington State's Red Mountain AVA. Founded in 1975 by John and Ann Williams along with Jim and Pat Holmes, the estate began as a 10-acre "Old Block" in a then-desolate desert region. Today, the third generation of the Williams family—brothers JJ and Tyler—manages more than 272 acres across five distinct estate sites: Kiona Estate, Heart of the Hill, Ranch at the End of the Road, Sunset Bench, and Artz Vineyard.
Crafted as a "bird's-eye view" of the entire farm, this versatile red blend incorporates fruit from all five Kiona estate vineyards to create a definitive profile of the Columbia Valley. Designed as an approachable yet complex house pour, it delivers a lush, medium-to-full body with a core of ripe red and blue fruit—including layers of black cherry, plum, and a touch of cocoa. The 2021 vintage features Malbec as the headliner to emphasize a plush, velvety texture, supported by a sophisticated structure of tannins and balancing acidity from over three years of barrel aging.
