Bodega de Forlong, founded by Rocío Álvarez and Alejandro Narváez, has become one of Andalucía’s most exciting producers, helping redefine what wines from the Sherry region can look like today. Located near the Atlantic coast in Cádiz, the winery works with organically farmed vineyards planted on albariza soils, the chalky white limestone soils traditionally associated with some of Spain’s greatest fortified wines. The cooling maritime influence plays a major role in preserving freshness and salinity in the grapes, balancing the region’s intense southern Spanish sunshine. Rather than producing fortified wines, Forlong focuses on still wines made with minimal intervention, native yeasts, and a strong respect for terroir.
This Blanco highlights the brighter, more mineral-driven side of Andalucía, showcasing freshness, texture, and coastal energy. The winery’s philosophy centers on transparency and drinkability, allowing the vineyard’s natural character to shine through clearly. It’s a wine that feels simultaneously traditional and progressive—deeply tied to place, but modern in spirit. Citrus peel, green apple, chamomile, and sea spray with subtle saline minerality. Light-to-medium bodied with crisp acidity, soft texture, and a refreshing finish.
