The 2019 Fattoria Viticcio Ferraio Toscana IGT is designed as a vibrant, approachable red that captures the essence of the Tuscan territory through a blend of young estate vines. To maintain its bright character and ensure the wine does not become overly alcoholic, each grape variety is harvested at its individual peak of ripeness and vinified separately. The winemaking process focuses on "delicate vinification" in stainless steel tanks for 15 to 20 days, which helps extract soft tannins while avoiding any harsh or vegetal notes. Unlike the winery's Riserva, this bottling is partially aged in stainless steel and partially in the bottle for approximately one year, purposely avoiding barrique refinement to preserve its primary fruit energy.
The resulting wine features a vibrant ruby red color and an aromatic profile defined by fresh floral notes of violet and hyacinth, alongside rich red fruits such as blackberry, currant, and raspberry. On the palate, it is described as refreshing and easy to drink, offering a medium body with a well-balanced structure and a subtle, long finish.
