Not only is Lake Garda the largest lake in Italy, it is also one of the most pristine and picturesque. With Roman archaeological ruins to the south, gorgeous historical homes sprinkled about the rest of the coast and the Dolomites rising in the north, Lake Garda is almost not a real place. Situated nearby is the home of Liquore delle Sirene, owned and curated by Elisa Carta, a native to the area who uses the mystique and great herbal resources of the area to her advantage. Her line of liqueurs and aperitifs are delicate, exquisitely complex and full of locally foraged ingredients.
The Americano Rosso is made in small batches, with a base of locally vinified wine and then infused with rose petals, oranges and peppers give contrast to the earthy bitterness of gentian and finally Hibiscus and Monarda flowers to lend a natural color. Each ingredient is infused separately then blended to perfect balance.
