Named after a wandering dog, “Lubanzi”, who led two young exchange students on an epic hike across South Africa's Wild Coast, Lubanzi Winery is an innovative, forward-thinking and socially responsible company. Charlie Brain & Walker Brown built their winery on the concepts of collaboration and exploration, with a ‘locally run, globally minded' mantra. Trizanne Barnard & Bruce Jack are the winemakers, Fanakalo is the design team, and together the group became friends and collaborators. Lubanzi has also partnered with The Pebbles Project, a non-profit that provides health & education resources directly back to the families who live and work on South Africa's wine farms.
The 2025 Lubanzi "Midnight Bob" is a brand-new, limited-release Cabernet Franc produced by the sustainable South African wine company, Lubanzi Wines. Lean and fresh on the palate - red and black plum with touch of something like clove or almost anise, crunchy berry seed finish - loves a chill! GA only received 11 cases, so get it while it's hot.
