The estate at Domaine de Thulon has been an operating farm since the 15th century. In 1987 it was purchased by Annie and René Jambon after having worked there as “métayers” for 20 years. Today, their children Carine and Laurent run the estate. The family’s passion for experimentation has set them apart from other producers in the region. This bottling is a classic old-vine Beaujolais-Villages expression: the grapes are harvested by hand and see a gentle pressing before carbonic maceration occurs to bring out the wine’s color and a greater concentration of aromas. After fermentation the wine ages in stainless steel tanks.
This classic Beaujolais has bright aromas of cherry and strawberry that carry over onto its fresh and fruity palate. You’ll also notice hints of allspice. The wine is well-structured with great balance. We recommend serving this red slightly chilled!
