It all originated from the great vision and passion of Ferdinando Bergaglio and his son Roberto, who realised the wine-making potential of their land. After a lifetime spent working at a historic local company, in 1976, Ferdinando, his son and new daughter-in-law, decided to undertake a new adventure, by starting a family business, La Chiara.
They played a key part in the birth and success of Gavi. Today, the estate extends over a vast area, all of it in the municipality of Gavi, with 28 hectares occupied by vineyards cultivated with pride in their long-standing farming traditions.
From 3 different plots within Gavi the family's workhorse wine, fragrant and characteristic with elegant apricot and citrus notes on a very delicate mineral background.
