The description of the word “pomalo” cannot be found in any Croatian dictionary. Literally, “pomalo” means to take it easy, to relax, no stress, but also slow down, no worries. The Begović cousins are two phenomenal winemakers from starkly different backgrounds - one based in the northeastern mountains of Slovenia, one based on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia — whom discovered their long-lost relation to each other over their mutual family lineage in the village of Kozice, Croatia.
Produced as a collaboration between natural wine pioneer Andrej Čiblak and the Vinas Mora winery, this bone-dry wine is crafted primarily from 100% Graševina grapes. Fermented with native yeasts and aged for five months on the lees in stainless steel, it is celebrated for its zippy, light-bodied profile featuring notes of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and a distinct briny salinity reminiscent of the Adriatic coast.
