Situated just south of Chablis, the Famille Gueguen estate was established in 2013. Céline and Frédéric each had more than a decade of experience at different estates in Chablis before setting out on their own venture. They bring their expertise and passion for the wines of this region to their own wines, crafting affordable, high quality wines in both the Bourgogne and Chablis appellations.
This fruit for this Aligote is farmed organically and comes from vines that are between 30 and 65 years old. The wine is aged on fine lees for ten months in stainless steel tank. Nuanced and refreshing, with notes of ripe citrus, green apple and baking spice, this wine has a beautiful round texture and lifted energy. The name Marie-Louise refers to Celine’s grandmother, who owned and left her these aligoté parcelles.
