In 1861 James Skinner established one of the first wineries in the country, this piece of history was uncovered when his great-great-great grandchildren had a chance encounter while exploring the California Sierra Mountains. So inspired by this unknown heritage the family decided to start their own winemaking adventure in the area. With a focus on Rhone varietlals, Skinner handcrafts each wine with an unerring dedication to blending old-world skills and traditions with innovative farming and winemaking techniques.
Thriving in high-elevation growing climate and well-drained soils, Picpoul is a testament to how purely beautiful El Dorado blancs can be. Notes of lychee, lemon curd with white blossom and hints of vanilla.
