It was 2007 when Burgundy icon Guillaume d’Angerville blind tasted a Tissot Arbois Chardonnay he was wowed. He was so inspired by this wine that he dove into adventure to discover his own slice of this region. Just five years later he had found his perfect location of vineyards in the Jura, and Domaine du Pélican was born. They have already gained a steady following, resulting in allocation for these special wines of distinction and character. The Domaine du Pelican team practices strictly biodynamic viticultural techniques with manual harvests for each vintage.
Fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak, retaining bright fruit character with depth and texture from time spent on lees. Green apple, pear, and lemon zest, accented by subtle notes of white flowers, crushed stones, and a hint of almond. Medium-bodied with a crisp, lively acidity and a silky texture, citrus, orchard fruit, and a touch of flinty minerality.
