100% Chardonnay
Lively, with lemon blossom and yellow fruit on the nose, with slight musk notes. A pleasant roundness on the palate and a touch of saltiness in the finish. As with all Joseph Drouhin wines, absolute priority is given to the true expression of terroir and the character of the vintage. This wine is stylistically close to Pouilly-Fuissé, with its golden hue, its greenish reflection, and refreshing taste.
Appellation Saint-Véran is located in the southern end of Burgundy, just north of Beaujolais. The vineyard is planted in Jurassic limestone, a continuation of the chalky strata found in the Côte d'Or, ideal for growing Chardonnay grapes.
The widely respected Drouhin family began making wine over a century ago. The Drouhin family has their original vineyard holdings at Maison Joseph Drouhin in Beaune, France, as well as their Domaine Drouhin Oregon estate. Both wineries produce amazing Bourgogne wines using a wealth of generational wisdom.
