André Hueston Mack left his corporate desk job and pursued his passion for wine by becoming a sommelier. While working in San Antonio, Mack was awarded the prestigious title of Best Young Sommelier in America by the highly regarded Chaine des Rotisseurs. This recognition led to a job as sommelier at Thomas Keller’s world-renowned French Laundry in Yountville, California and then to the position of Head Sommelier at Keller’s equally famed Per Se in New York City. His dream of developing his own line of wines came to fruition in 2007 when he founded Mouton Noir using his own expertise and the connections he had built with growers across Oregon.
Floral and fruit forward with juicy stone fruit, racy acidity, and a sprinkle of salty minerality. Great texture and full mouthfeel.
