Korbin Kameron is a family-owned estate winery founded by Mitchell Ming and named after his twin sons, Korbin and Kameron. Established in 2000, the Korbin Kameron Winery began as a vision of high-elevation viticulture on a 186-acre property in the Mayacamas Mountain Range. Today, the operation remains a family endeavor, with Korbin Ming serving as General Manager and Winemaker, while his siblings Kameron and Kristin lead wine club management and design, respectively. The winery emphasizes a site-first approach to produce limited-production Bordeaux-style wines, focusing on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that reflect their unique mountain origin.
The Korbin Kameron Vineyard is a 19-acre planted estate that straddles the ridge of Mount Veeder at an elevation of 2,300 to 2,400 feet. While the property crosses the Napa/Sonoma county line, the majority of the vines fall within Sonoma's Moon Mountain District AVA. This high-altitude location puts the vines above the fog line, providing extended daily sunlight while maritime winds cool the grapes at night to ensure balanced ripening. Managed by legendary viticulturist Phil Coturri, the vineyard is farmed holistically and organically in rocky, well-draining soils composed of ancient seabed and volcanic ash, which stresses the vines to produce fruit with intense structure and depth.
