‘Tis the season for hosting! As you prepare for your holiday festivities, consider the versatility of wine! Don't let liquor have all the attention when it comes to crafting unique cocktails. We’re here to remind you that wine-based cocktails are a delicious and refreshing option to mix things up this year!
Here are a few we think you should try the season. Come by either shop and we’ll guide you to all the ingredients you need!
Under the Pines
3 dashes aromatic bitters
1 oz Pasubio Vino Amaro
2 oz dry red wine (we recommend the FUSO TEH Rosso)
Fevertree Lemon Tonic
Combine the bitters, Pasubio, and red wine in a tall glass or a large wine glass. Add a scoop of ice and top with about 3 ounces of Fevertree Lemon Tonic. Give the whole thing a stir to combine and enjoy! If you’re feeling fancy, peel a swath of lemon rind, gently express the oils over the top of your drink, and use it as a garnish.
Rosey Cheeks and a Ruby Nose
3 dashes cranberry bitters
.75 oz fresh orange juice
2 oz ruby port (we recommend the Kopke)
Fevertree Blood Orange Ginger Beer
Combine the bitters, orange juice, and port in a tall glass or a large wine glass. Add a scoop of ice and top with about 3 ounces of the blood orange ginger beer. Give the whole thing a stir to combine and enjoy! Sprinkle with a handful of pomegranate seeds for a festive garnish!
6 PM Somewhere
3 dashes of orange bitters
1.5 oz Contratto Vermouth Rosso
1.5 oz Montanaro 6PM Aperitivo
Soda water of your choice
Combine the bitters, sweet vermouth, and aperitivo in a tall glass or a large wine glass. Add a scoop of ice and top to fill with soda water. Give the whole thing a stir to combine and enjoy! If you’re feeling fancy, peel a swath of orange rind, gently express the oils over the top of your drink, and use it as a garnish.

GETTING INTO THE SPIRIT (WITHOUT THE SPIRITS)
As you're making your way through all the holiday hustle and bustle this season, you may find yourself in need of a little break from imbibing. That doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice unique or interesting flavors! If you’re looking to enjoy some festive beverages minus the alcohol, look no further than your friendly neighborhood wine shop. We’ve got lots of delicious non-alcoholic options for you and have even whipped up a couple of no-abv cocktails you can enjoy. Come by either shop, and we’ll guide you to all the ingredients you need!
75 Sleigh Bells
3 dashes cranberry bitters
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
.5 oz rich simple syrup
1 oz non-alcoholic “gin” (we recommend the Pentire)
~3 oz chilled non-alcoholic sparkling wine (we recommend Oddbird Sparkling Blanc de Blanc)
Combine the bitters, lemon juice, syrup, and “gin” in a shaker tin or mason jar with a scoop of ice and give it a good shake. Strain the mixture into your favorite wine glass and top with the chilled sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon wheel and enjoy!
The Night Before
.25 oz honey syrup
.5 oz fresh orange juice
2 oz non-alcoholic aperitivo (we recommend Ghia)
Grapefruit flavored soda water (we recommend Montane)
In your favorite glass, combine the honey syrup, orange juice, and aperitivo with a scoop of ice. Top to fill with the grapefruit soda water and give it a stir to mix well. Garnish with an orange slice and enjoy!
Daiq the Halls
2 dashes cranberry bitters
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
.5 oz fresh lime juice
.75 oz rich simple syrup
2 oz non-alcoholic “rum” (we recommend Caleno Light & Zesty)
Combine the bitters, lemon & lime juice, syrup, and “rum” in a shaker tin or mason jar with a scoop of ice and give it a good shake. Strain the mixture into your favorite cocktail glass and garnish with a lime wedge. Enjoy!
